The project consortium comprises 28 Chinese vocational institutions and 8 Indonesian pilot polytechnics. To date, the program has successfully developed a set of standards for the Mechatronics program and its curriculum, which have received dual certification from the National Advisory Committee for TVET in the Machinery Industry of China and the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs of Indonesia. At the ceremony, Mr. Ojat Darojat and Mr. Wang Zhiqiang—Deputy Director of the China Machinery Education Development Center and Deputy Director of the School-Enterprise Cooperation Committee under the National Advisory Committee—presented standard implementation approval letters to participating institutions. This marks an official launch of the first joint professional standard developed collaboratively by Chinese and Indonesian vocational institutions.
